Pours a decent golden brown, with a smoky aroma. Bland and sour flavor, kind of like an IPA, with a bit of a bitter aftertaste. Not great but not horrible either.

12 oz. bottle. Golden color with thin, white head. Bready aroma with some smoke. Flavor is really bland. Some malty hints and sweetness, but a weird sour note as well. Finish is muddied, with some bitterness.

this brewery disappoints more than impresses again. Gold color, white head. Aroma is grainy and malty. Flavor is mostly malt with an odd aftertaste. skip it.

Bottle from BSF @ GBBF ’08. Gold with a white head. Aroma of slightly burned paper. Plus yacht varnish. Sweet malty taste. Also that slightly burned tang again, not unlike cigarette smoke. Lots of carbonation and a mid bitter finish. Thought this lacked character.

Light gold pour with a thin white head. Toasted grain and fruity malt in the aroma. Flavor is mostly the same with an unpleasant bitterness on the finish. No thank you!

Tawny golden in color with a tall lasting head. Smells of toasted biscuits. Full nectar with mellow residual effers. Slightly fruit with heavy biscuit essence on the palate. The finish is bittered mildly.

There was something off about this beer. It was much better from the tap than in the 22oz. bottles I bought afterwards. Disappointing.
