Pours a golden color with a thin head. Has a sweet taste at the beginning then finishes with a bitter aftertaste. If it was sweet throughout it would be much better. Finishes nice, but not my fav. brew from Shipyard.

Bottle, from Duvel tulip, at cellar temp. Best before Jul ’07. Clear medium amber, disappearing white head, poor lacing. Sourdough bread aroma, with herbal hoppiness. Medium-light body, lightly creamy texture, light carbonation. Light, crisp caramel flavor. Nice finish; sweet and malty with a bitter dryness. A pleasant drink, but not spectacular.

Pours a golden brown color with a white head. Has a sweet taste in the begining, and then has a weird mettalic taste. Light bodied brew finishes bland with nothing special.

Golden pour with a filmy head. Sweet aroma, grassy and mild. Taste is funky. Corn, sugar, some spice... hops do come out towards the finish. Body is OK. Finish saves it from disaster. Wheat, grass, grain... simply acceptable.

Had it with fish and chips yesterday was nice and sweet, smooth finish, not too hoppy. I thought it was a great mild beer

12 oz. bottle- color of clear honey , with a thin stark white head - nose of sweat socks , chocolate malt , sweet orange , and mild floral hops – taste of malt , sour milk , acidic , and mild hops - body is sharp , and with medium high carbonation – aftertaste of spearmint , milk , and sour

Found this one bottled in Belvidere, Illinois. Pleasantly surprised by this one. A little cloudy, dark yellow pour with a lacy, white head. Wheaty, grassy nose with a bit of sweet apple, light, sweet taste of clover honey, light hops and lemon. Nice! My first Maine beer.

Cloudy gold with a medium whtie head and minimal lacing. Nose of light malts and hops, and not much else. Mouthfeel moderate, and flavors of sweet malts, light hops, and a touch of caramel. Slightly sweet finish. Simply ordinary.
