A little cloudy, dark yellow pour with a lacy, white head. Wheaty, grassy nose with a bit of sweet apple, light, sweet taste of clover honey, light hops and lemon. Nice! My first Maine beer. hayduke (1667), Eureka, California, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 18, 2007 I wasn’t sure, until seeing the classification here, if this was a "stock ale" type or an export lager. It was light enough for lager, but it did have many ale characteristics. Copperish color with medium head. Aroma was lightly caramel with some grassy hop. Flavor was burnt sugar and butterscotch, the latter of which detracted. Not much hop, just a touch of citrus, leading to a semi-balanced finish. Palate was initially quite light and dry, not watery, but it got sweeter the further I got into it. Fair but nothing to write home about. tmorenojr (6), Winter Park, Florida, USA does not count | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 12, 2007 Nice dose of hops. Thought I would give it a shot and I was fairly pleased. Fairly good balance and nice finish. Not bad, however I don’t know if I will buy it again. bhensonb (4365), Woodland, California, USA
