I think this a pretty well crafted brew. It has sweeter notes but in the long haul it does bring some nice complex value. I would give it a try again.

way too sweet. Not the beer you want to drink but if you want candy instead. Somewhat refreshing/good change of pace beer.

rbesg06, bottle at the rover. maybe some previous high alpha swedish micro’s dulled my senses but this seemed pretty lacklustre. amber, tinny aroma, caramel sweetness and light bitterness and that’s it

First time having a Shipyard. Not bad, pleasantly surprised by the smooth flavors. A little bit nutty witha sweet caramel undertone. O.K. for a "handcrafted ale" from Maine.

12 oz bottle: Pours a very pale yellow color with medium sized pure white head. Aroma is malty, sweet, fair amount of honey, wheat, slight esters, with notes of pear and apple. Flavor is crisp, slightly malty, notes of honey, caramel, faint hint of noble hops, with a balanced, slightly bitter finish.

12oz bottle shared with brie in the basement of a shoe store in downtown amherst before we head over to the ABC... the flavor is mostly nutty malt and a slight soapy hop stank... this is exactly what I expected from this brewery... it is enjoyable to drink, but the flavors are too simple and common for me to seek this one again... gotta love Maine tho!

Clear yellow. Looks and smells like a lager, but they say its an ale. Clean taste. Kind of soapy in the finish. Pretty weak really.

Bottle: Pale gold color, light head and lacing. Nose of light hop, pungent corn and malts. Lightly sweet, subtle snappy hops. Finishes bitter. A snappy lager I’d say, but nay, it’s an ale.
