| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 3, 2006 (On Tap) The beer seems almost like an IPA light. It is a hoppy brew that when I first tasted, I assumed was an IPA with a different name. The beer is decent, and worth a try, but I only tried it because it was the best option at the time. eggman (45), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 31, 2006 12 oz. bottle, Best Enjoyed Before: 1/06. Purchased as part of the Captain’s Choice 12-pack...Pours a flat, light-copper with a large, creamy, light-gold head that quickly vanished....Smells of average caramel and straw-like malts with light, grassy-perfume hops. Can also detect a buttery, metallic odor...Average in body with an oily texture and flat carbonation. Finishes lightly bitter...Tastes like sweet bread with slight bitterness at the end. Truly forgettable if not decently mediocre...Overall, better than I anticipated. Could easily drink a few in a pinch if offered no other micro alternatives. A good introduction to craft beer for the macro crowd. Strykzone (1475), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 30, 2006 I read a few reviews before tasting this one and found the beer to be better than the reviews. It is not a great beer but it does offer a nice crisp balance. mattd017 (51), Jacksonville, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 23, 2006 Just a generally unremarkable beer. Pretty unacceptable on all acounts. Has a slight hoppy finish, but there are many better brews NachlamSie (1637), Tennessee, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 12, 2006 bottle. I got this due to a mistake by the bartender at Acoustic Coffeehouse. Man, did I pay for that blunder. Copper pour, white head. The aroma is mildly malty with a whisp of corn and leathery hops. Very light taste here, perhaps a little corn. The finish brings out some paper flavor. This is close to a pale lager, maybe less sweet. Very thin. I just wasn’t thirsty enough to finish the bottle. thecollector (32), South Carolina, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 11, 2006 got this on tap at mellow mushroom on king street. poured a transparent golden with minimal head. upfront it was nice an crisp with a light, hoppy, "wanna be pale ale" taste coming in towards the end. too thin for me, but drinkable. mojoman (44), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jul 10, 2006 Bottled. Kind of surprised this does not score higher with the masses. This golden ale is hoppy and sweet. A very crisp ale. IHCNavistar (93), Orinda, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 5, 2006 Bottle. Aroma is strongly of hops, with a slight undertone of sweetness. Taste is Hoppy, pleasantly bitter, with almost spruce-esque notes. Crisp bite of flavor in the first sip, with very slight hints of malt. Carbonation is excellent for this beer, being not too strong, and not under-carbonated. Definitely something I would buy again.
