Amber in color with some touches of gold, the export ale poured with an inch-thick fluffy white head. Sweet malt in the nose, yeasty malt flavor that is decent, but uninteresting. An okay beer. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 28, 2006 12 oz. bottle. Dark Honey color with very small head that didn’t last. Sweetness at first whiff, then bread and malt. Flavors hit with more bread and a decent hop finish, but over all not super exciting. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 19, 2006 Pours a copperish golden color with a nice size head, aroma of sweet malts and floral hops, flavor was smooth and a little sweet not bad, hints of caramel, ok body, drinkable. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 14, 2006 Another "flagship beer" that I would’ve taken a pass on had I not been turned into a ratings whore by this site! A good looking but otherwise unimpressive honey-sweet golden ale, this goes down easily because there’s little to it in body or flavor, watery malts with almost no trace of hops.

The aroma is subtle and of malt and hops, somewhat sweet smelling, the flavor too is subtle and crisp. The palate is pretty thin, but not a bad beer Palidor19 (1775), Brandon, Florida, USA
