Pours golden straw with tiny champaigne-like bubbles and a tall rocky frothy white head, some lined spotty lacing. Sour malt (grain, meal) and yeast (sweat, leather) aroma with fruit (peach, pear, apple) notes. Chalky sour malt and yeast flavor with a moderately bitter and acidic hop finish and a lingering metallic aftertaste. Light bodied and fizzy, chalky palate. 00cobraR (1098), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 27, 2005 Pours light amber with a one-finger white head. Interesting aroma. Malty, which is expected, but also earhily spicy, like a Belgian Ale (it must be the hops). Light hops. Flavor of biscuity malts and light, floral hops. A lot like an English IPA. It would be good except for a slight flavor of bad hops. Quaffable, which is surprising, considering the style. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 27, 2005 12 oz bottle, thanks to slob for gracing me with this one in a trade! Pours orangey-golden with a moderate off-white head that diminishes to a thin ring of bubbles. Aroma is quite sweet - like toast spread with apricot jam - and floral hops are present as well. Flavor has some sweetness and toasty malts, but is dominated by a brash hoppiness - orange, lemon and herby notes along with a hint of grapefruit peel in the finish. Medium body and prickly carbonation. Not bad for a session ale, I rather enjoyed this with a bowl of popcorn and a re-play of Star Wars episode VI. BigBen2120 (688), Derry, New Hampshire, USA

RERATE:
It’s still not my favorite, but it was a little better than i remember. Not the best balanced either, but a little sweet, tasted kind of like cerial, (corn flakes or cherios maybe). Not bad, I’m not a huge fan of Shipyard overall, but its better than many of theirs’. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Nov 6, 2005 Golden amber color with a thin white head. Very sweet aroma of molasses and butterscoth. Sweet buttery taste is followed with what tastes like dish sosp in the finish. Not a very pleasant beer.
