Taste starts off malty and sweet, becomes somewhat carmely, almost tastes like they used some strange variant of peated moss. Off bitterness, from grains maybe. Finish is slightly sour. yayforbeer (648), Orange Park, Florida, USA

This one didnt do a lot for me. Hoppy golden ale with a somewhat dry finish. .... 1/30/2007 ... .. Single from Total Wine. Fresh clean hoppy aroma. Good flavor, sweet with pale malts, and just enough hop character to make it enjoyable. It’s a little fruity, maybe pear flavor. A very clean and interesting golden ale flavor probably from the hops. Very drinkable. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 4, 2005 (12 oz bottles: Obtained in trades with slob and jjpm74, thanks Bert and John!) This is a beer I rated many years ago and didn’t like much, but now I’m wondering what my problem was. For some reason, I find this to have a very English character to it, especially since the moderately sweet and caramely malt comes across as quite nutty as well. Actually, I’m reminded of Bass Ale from years back. Bitterness is very mild, even in the finish. The nose is quite nutty and somewhat bready. Light-to-medium bodied, but with the creamy mouthfeel, this is a smooth and easy drinking beer, and would be even smoother if the carbonation were more gentle. Medium golden in color. The whitish head pours to nearly half an inch in height, and takes many minutes to settle to a thin, broken film. Lacing is comprised mostly of long strands bridging the gaps between the small patches. Not a great beer, but certainly good enough. WISEGUY572 (1246), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 2, 2005 Tastes more like a European light beer than anything else. Strongly floral, not much bitterness, thin in the mouth, not much malt or complexity. Would make me happier if it were at least low alcohol. Probably not a fast seller; I bought mine on the Maine / New Hampshire border and it was 6 months past code date when I bought it. Good golden appearance, good dry finish, but between the pour and the finish not much to get excited about. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA
