| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 31, 2005 Malty at first with a hop dominated finish. The aroma is pretty average like the flavor smells of malt and hops. The color is nice and gold with a small white head on top. Good mouthfeel, and overall a pretty decent all around beer. Very malty with pronounced notes of caramel. Very sweet actually - the whole way through. In it’s basic structure this is not so different from an IPA, just completely without the hop-bite. 250505 heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 18, 2005 Bright gold and light orange color. The head is thin. The aroma is wheat bread and some raspberries. There is also a hint of bread crust. The taste is bread and funky copper. There are also some cherry notes. A little more fruit than the typical golden ale. A decent brew. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 14, 2005 Pours golden with a decent offwhite head that dissipates down to about 1/4 inch and laces the glass. Aroma is grass and hops. Taste is mostly light sweet malt but the hops take over at the end. Not very well balanced and kind of thin on the palate Easy to drink though and o.k. for drinking on the deck in the summer time. Nothing outstanding about this one though. lagermonkey (597), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 10, 2005 Pours a very pale, very clear gold with a thin, lacy, ivory head. Smell is grassy and lightly hoppy. Light fruitiness and pale malt.
A bit fizzy and biting up front. Lightly sweet malt and quite hoppy, especially given the light malt profile in this beer. Long hops aftertaste and unpleasant thin malt aftertaste too. Not well balanced or tasty. Pretty thin and non-descript. Basically a heavier hopped golden ale.
