On the one hand this starts as a simple ale - which is ultimately just what it IS, but a very well crafted ale that has balance of malt and hops and an excellent finish. Could drink loads of this with pleasure.

Pours with a three-fingered white head that fades quickly and leaves a good lace. Medium carbonation. Light almost clear amber color. Nose is somewhat hoppy. Starts and finishes hoppy with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. Medium bodied. 83¢ for a 12oz bottle from Cumberland Farms Convenience Greenland, NH.

Gold copper, dense white head. Unusual herbal/veggie aroma. Some butterscotch, as well. Sweetish, toffee-ish taste, with an herbal, floral note. May have been a bit stale.

No aroma, no head. The golden color is as advertised, and the taste is full and crisp, with no heaviness, like a good ale should be. Unfortunately, I didn’t find there to be anything remarkable about this beer. I have tried several Shipyard varieties, and this may be the best "drink a sixpack" one in the bunch.

Burnt Beer Night: Dark yellow color with a medium head. Old hops and sour alcohol dominate this beer. Did they export it around the world on a paddleboat before selling it?

Burnt Beer Night: Gold Coloring. Good Head. Watery Overall. Some Hops.. A Little Crisp, But Really Nothing Redeeming Here.

Pure golden color, big cream-colored head, minimal lacing, lightly malty nose, light & crisp body, bready flavors with a slight hint of hoppiness, more bready notes in the finish
