Could drink loads of this with pleasure.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 5, 2004 Gold copper, dense white head. Unusual herbal/veggie aroma. Some butterscotch, as well. Sweetish, toffee-ish taste, with an herbal, floral note. May have been a bit stale. richlikebeer (832), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Nov 12, 2004 No aroma, no head. The golden color is as advertised, and the taste is full and crisp, with no heaviness, like a good ale should be. Unfortunately, I didn’t find there to be anything remarkable about this beer. I have tried several Shipyard varieties, and this may be the best "drink a sixpack" one in the bunch. Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA

Old hops and sour alcohol dominate this beer. Did they export it around the world on a paddleboat before selling it? robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA
