Pours deep gold with a big, creamy, white head and lots of carbonation. Aroma of malt, some hops, and citrus. Tastes malty, with a hoppy, slightly dry, citrusy finish. Medium mouthfeel. brewshthereen (316), Oregon, USA

I had it on tap at the Orlando International Airport - this brewery is mistakenly listed as closed on a few websites, but it is certainly open. (8/4/04) The brew was smooth and crisp but just was lacking the "punch" I was expecting. There wasn’t really anything to distinguish it from an upscale Macro brew. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 2, 2004 Pours a translucent gold with a medium frothy white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with some candyish notes hiding in there. Taste is nice! Good balance between the malted sweetness and the hops. Some biscuity notes are there along with fainter toffee. The Fuggles make this a pleasantly hopped ale. Smooth mellowed feeling on the palate and a slightly bitter finish. Very nice beer and very drinkable. Would be a good session beer! | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 18, 2004 Pours a dark golden color with a thin white, slightly persistent head. At first blush I would call the aroma phenolic, but after further study I realize that it is more toffee-like. Has a slight bitterness in it not usually found in a blonde ale. Some sweet caramel notes up front with a heavy fuggles presence in the back end. Decent full body, slightly sticky, finishes well. Overall, decent.
