At first the nose was like a huge pile of wet grass clippings. Then it quickly went to a small pile. Flavor is a bit sweet with a salty bitter start and finish to it. Hops are there, but do not overpower or kick you in the mouth. Gives a balanced approach that some might consider thin or watered down. I just say it is what it is. Feel is just very slightly thicker on the liquid. Great level of carbonation caressing the tongue. Overall very drinkable. A different kind of IPA, but one well worth trying. Not a hop bomb. Also a semblance of grass and sundry greenery, fresh cut lawn, soil, and minerals. Off-notes pervasive. Mouthfeel is soft but highly carbonated. Highly herbal but mellow. Disappointing. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 19, 2008 Bottle. Medium amber color – very carbonated with a huge white head. Very light aroma with a mellow hop flavor and aftertaste. It probably doesn’t help that I had a Oggis Hop Juice prior to this, as it comes off very mild for an IPA. Good session beer since it’s so mild. biggmike (480), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jan 15, 2008 Poured a deep orange color with decent white head that hung around for a while. Aroma was sort of hoppy, but just didn’t smell quite right. Flavor was a bit metallic and was not too impressive. Drinkability was low as I didn’t like the one I had. Mouthfeel was okay. Might have gotten a bad one, so I would try again. Moz (613), Gothenburg, Sweden

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 24, 2007 Bottle... Poured a deep orange with a thick white head. Soapy aroma. Somewhat syrupy palate with sweet hops and toffee-nut notes. The NE just doesn’t make IPAs like they do out in the NW. This reminded me more of hoppyer amber ale or a mild pale ale at best.
