Sep 14, 2009 Updated: Oct 2, 2009THIS IS A RUSTED LOOKING BEER WITH A SOAPY LOOKING HEAD AND PLEASANT BUT LIGHT IPA’ISH AROMA, YET IT FAILS TO COMPETE WITH OTHER IPAS IN FLAVOR , JUST NOT MUCH GOING ON, NOT IMPRESSIVE FOR AN IPA. LEAVES ME WITH NOT MUCH TO SAY. ******** JUST WENT TO THE BEER STORE AND THEY GAVE ME A FREE 6 PACK OF THESE BECAUSE THEY WERE EXPIRED. TURNS OUT WHEN I WENT HOME I CHECKED THE EXPERATION DATE ON THE ONE I RATED AND IT EXPIRED IN MARCH 2008! A YEAR AND A HALF AGO, ALTHOUGH IVE NEVER HEARD OF AN IPA EXPIRING ILL HAVE TO GET A FRESH PACK OF THESE AND RERATE IT ONE OF THESE DAYS. SO UNTILL THEN DONT MIND THIS RATING....TO BE CONTINUED....

Sep 14, 2009 Mild aroma, but nice earthy hops with light malts. Medium flavor with some floral and eaarthy hops. Light caramel malts, but nothing overpowering. Finishes with an understated bitterness. I could have a few of these in a sitting, but nothing exceptional.

Sep 10, 2009 Pint at RnH. Pour is between amber and copper in color. Not much head at all, aside from a few collections of suds scattered about. Fuggle hops sounded new to me, but I know I’ve had the tasted before. Odd yeast, resin, malt, clove funk flavor to it. Finishes bitter. Cool beer, definitely not your usual IPA, would like to have more like it.

Sep 8, 2009 This poured a light orange color with a white head. Aroma was light floral spicey hops and not much else. Flavor was grassy and herbal, with a decent balancing of bland malts. Nothing offensive here but not the greatest by any means

Sep 6, 2009 Bottle. Poured orange with thin white head. Little lacing. Aroma of resin, pine and clove. Clovey flavour, with some pepperiness. Cotrus and pepper finish. Unlike most other IPAs.

Aug 9, 2009 Experienced from a 12oz bottle in a pub glass. The nose was an odd amalgamation of harsh hop aromas (not the clean earthy tones that one would associate with Fuggles), and malt- and yeast-derived flavors that seemed to clash with one another, rather than act as complimentary partners. One of the worst IPAs I’ve ever had.

Aug 2, 2009 Bottle: I had my doubts about this one... now I know that Fuggle hops are not my favorites. Funky flavors, licorice? Food Pairing: Licorice?
