Clear orange-amber. Aroma - yup, Fuggles! Body is on the thin side. Flavour has some soft malt off the top, and quickly moves into the hop-forward realm, but not too aggressive. It’s like a slightly hopped-up UK session ale. Not too bad. Strykzone (1492), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 11, 2007 Pours a dirty light brown with a nice thick off white head that has staying power. Lots of carbonation. Aroma is one of distinct biting hops. There is some fruit to the flavor and just a hint of sweetness but this IPA is quite dry with a deep bitterness. The flavor improved as it warmed so don’t serve it at too low of a temperature. The choice of hops makes this a non standard IPA and it is a decent variation on the theme. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 7, 2007 Has an amber color with a large airy head. Herbal, earthy smell. Light to medium bodied with light carbonation. Decent grainy, yeasty flavor with a medium intense bitterness to finish.
Easy to drink and real thirst quencher just like a glass of cold water. Thats the good, and bad thing about this beer. june 2005 drfabulous (1268), Columbia, Missouri, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 5, 2007 Basic IPA. Not of the CA hoppy variety. Instead, more akin to Shelter Pale Ale without the refreshing taste. I picked this up as part of a build your own six pack. Not something I’d buy again. Nothing stands out for me. It’s more like a Sam Adams. If nothing else was available, I’d order it. RSRIZZO (1369), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 3, 2007 Had this beer on 8/19/2003. Aroma is a crisp faint malt scent. Color is bright gold with very good carbonation and thick head. Taste is crisp and bitter. Starting with a light body it goes down with a crisp feel. Finish is a mild mild flavor back by a full bitterness. There is no hop flavor and it could use to be more balanced. metsbcd (82), Connecticut, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 24, 2007 Pretty good beer, although it poured lighter than i expected. Nice hoppiness to it and not too watery. Good beer but nothing special. jameswolfe (142), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Oct 21, 2007 Ive had many pale ales that have a higher hop profile than this. Drinkable, maybe even enjoyable on the right day. But in the end it is forgetable. portermax55 (118), Canterbury, Connecticut, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 12, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Pours a pale gold color with a very light, white head. Slight smell of hops, but not like a TRUE IPA. Tastes of very bitter lemon and hops. Very light, smooth mouthfeel. Not bad....
