| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 28, 2007 Pours copper with a thin hite head. Smells of mellow hops and some caramelly malt. Tastes of caramel, light bitter peppery hints, some overwhelming grassiness. Very unbalanced and disappointing. dchmela (1458), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 24, 2007 On tap at The Forida Tap Room on a very hot day in Orlando. Pours out a nice copper color with a good head. Not much in the nose, but also was very cold. Lots of hoppy citrus in the taste, but in a very refreshing way. Smooth finish made me want another. I hope I am not too biased in that I had just spent an afternoon at a very hot Disneyworld (no good beer served) with screaming children and this was extremely refreshing and much needed for my sanity. patrick767 (2051), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 20, 2007 bottle - Pours amber with a one finger lingering head that leaves some lacing. The aroma has some malts and some pine hops. Taste has plenty of bitterness, but the hops isn’t very crisp and the balance seems to be off a bit. BREWMUSKCLES (1086), New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 15, 2007 pleasant aroma of fruity bubblegum and a fishbowl(oh well)!moderate flavor that is appealing, what with a stronger bitter lingering sense that i find alluring. that fruity flavor comes across well -and that ain’t easy-and then is gone! i suppose the rest is a substitute for a malt profile....clever! muenster (341), Sevierville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 13, 2007 Draught. Pours amber with a small white head. Aroma is blandly malty, with the hops supplying a distinctive British turn. Flavor is earthy, bitter hops. Not very flavorful. The hop bite isn’t overwhelming, but strong enough, considering that the only hops used are Fuggles, and I don’t think that throwing more Fuggles in would help this beer. gunhaver (1043), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 8, 2007 Updated: Jun 5, 2008Amber pour, a bit cloudy. The aroma is...where? Nothing much there at all. I can smell a bit of fruit in the distance, almost as if I’m taking a whiff through a door. It’s a single hop IPA, so I’m not expecting a whole lot of distinct flavors, but it’s still fairly plain. Nice bitter bite on the palate. Overall, nothing really to write home about. They’d make a fairly good session IPA, I suppose. pojo41 (315), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 6, 2007 Bottle. Copper-colored with weak white head. It did leave a nice lacing on the glass. This is a single hop IPA. I think it could use more and different hops to add to the complexity. Still, not bad over all. cking (1041), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 1, 2007 Rated 1/20/07: At last a brew from Shipyard that doesn’t have that familiar buttery flavor. This isn’t too bad but doesn’t hold it’s own among some of the other common IPA’s out there. Aroma is really bland, I can barely detect any type of hop bitterness, but a solid malt nose is there. Decent copper pour slightly orange hue with a medium-thin head and minimal lacing. Creamy and thick mouthfeel, good filling brew. Flavor is much better than the aroma but I wish there was more of a hop presence. Very drinkable, more of a pale ale in my opinion.
