| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 6, 2007 Bottle. Copper-colored with weak white head. It did leave a nice lacing on the glass. This is a single hop IPA. I think it could use more and different hops to add to the complexity. Still, not bad over all. cking (1041), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 1, 2007 Rated 1/20/07: At last a brew from Shipyard that doesn’t have that familiar buttery flavor. This isn’t too bad but doesn’t hold it’s own among some of the other common IPA’s out there. Aroma is really bland, I can barely detect any type of hop bitterness, but a solid malt nose is there. Decent copper pour slightly orange hue with a medium-thin head and minimal lacing. Creamy and thick mouthfeel, good filling brew. Flavor is much better than the aroma but I wish there was more of a hop presence. Very drinkable, more of a pale ale in my opinion. fattibobatti (246), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 14, 2007 pretty plain for an ipa. no complexity.starts out sweet and hoppy and does not change throughout drinking. not bitter at the end. texture is reasonable but still thin. drinks fast becuase the simplicity of the hops and texture. best part is the apperance which is a deep orange and a creamy off white foam. nearbeer (1869), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 14, 2007 Draft at Mellow Mushroom - UT campus. Light amber with medium head. Aroma is mostly malt. Flavor is sweetish, with some light hops and possibly British yeast? Has the same nose and flavor twang that I don’t like in Bass, except not as bad. Kind of weak hop flavor for an IPA, must be a British style IPA. peridot (17), Alabama, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 13, 2007 The best thing about this beer is its appearance. Copper coloured with a medium white head. For an IPA, the aroma is weak; mostly mild, citrusy hops. The flavour is one-dimensional. Thin body for an IPA. Tastes more like an experiment than a regular line product. Good education for beer newcomers on what fuggles hops taste like. TheCEO (100), USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Apr 26, 2007 Moderate aroma of sweet malt and resin hops. Hazy orange color with no head. Lightly bitter start. Finishes dry with a little carbonation. A little watery. Doctormirk (100), USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 26, 2007 Slight haze, deep yellow-amber with a sizable head. Smells somewhat sweet and malty. Some hops but not what I was hoping for. Or perhaps hopping for... Anyway, mouth feel was a bit lacking, thin. Easy drinking, non-assaulting. There was something about the smoothness of this beer that invited me to drink it very fast.
