Apr 23, 2006 12oz bottle, best enjoyed before September 06. Pours a clear golden with a tiny white head. slight amount of skunk, metallic and buttery notes, also toffee malts. There is a bitterness in the middle, but finishes fairly sweet. Basically butter, toffee, some metal, and a little bitterness. Don’t cry if you can’t get this one.

Apr 9, 2006 Not too bad. Pours a honey gold color. Fluffy off-white head. Fairly mild hops, medium body. The hoppy bitter fades too early for my taste, gets lost in the malts.

Apr 4, 2006 12oz bottle. Instant toffee and butter grassy notes, dry and dusty aroma. Grainy and grassy flavor with more toffee and butter, gritty hop texture. There’s a bit of a juicy note in there as well, though overwhelmed by the gritty, earty fuggles flavor. Not my kind of IPA, but appreciated for what it’s worth. Decent.

Apr 3, 2006 12 oz bottle. Hazy orange colour, rochy white head. Aroma of orange peel and fragrant perfumy hops. Herbal and spicy. Light woodiness but there are some lighter more delicate aromas that I don’t associate with Fuggles. Flavour is quite perfumy/cologney. Floral but different from noble-type floweriness. Light, prickly mouthfeel and a slightly anaesthetic character as well. Lingering zestiness. Much better than I would have expected from an all-Fuggles brew. Malts are just there lending a bit of roundness to an otherwise perfumy and flowery hoppiness.

Apr 2, 2006 Poured an orangey copper with a fairly long lived 2 finger head. Aroma of Fuggles with a hint of sweetness and subtle baked bread. Halfway thru there became a mustiness also. Watery mouthfeel with a too dry finish. Taste was unimpressive and the finsh was somewhat of a turn off. I bought this intending to kill a 6 er and barely made it thru 2. Best to buy a single bottle if you can.

Apr 2, 2006 A dark gold body that almost has a tint of orange. The head is small and white. The aroma has some apple cider character with grapefruit. There is also some light caramel. The taste has some light grapefruit rind and burnt bread crust. There is also some grassy tobacco character. Fairly dry, I thought. A decent IPA, but I would like a little more body. The finish gets mroe and mre irratating with woody character as you drink this.

Mar 30, 2006 Somewhat murky golden pour with some carbonation and a filmy white head, reducing from about a fingers width. Mild hop aroma with some bready malt. So, this is all Fuggles? I can dig it, apple notes do dominate. Nice bitter finish. Floral hops into the aftertaste. I like it. I wonder what I’m missing since it’s rated so low... I guess i lack the ability to appreciate the complexity in beer using only one form of hop lol.

Mar 28, 2006 Pours a nice abmer color.Big fuggle hop flavor with a nice bitter aftertaste.Very crisp with a medium body.
