| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 17, 2006 I bought this because an all Fuggles IPA sounds like the worst idea ever. Well...its not. I actually enjoyed the change of pace of an English IPA. The aroma is earth and spice. Tan in color with a slight haze. The bitterness bites you a little in the corner of the mouth. May buy again someday. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA

| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jan 14, 2006 Wow...can’t believe I haven’t rated this crap yet. Poured a translucent amber with a forced small whitish head. Not much in the way of hops in the nose, more or less crappy. Taste is first and foremost weak sour hops...God this sucks. It’s bitter to be sure, but it’s as if they went to Walgreens and bought the store brand "bitterness solution" and dumped the bottle. No one would suspect hops are responsible. I think I read someone saying they tasted plums and apples? What!? This one is too thin to win and lacking so badly it should’nt be associated with the IPA category. Shipyard sux......and gives the Fuggles hop variety a bad rap. porterhouse (1158), Alna, Maine, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 6, 2006 (Bottle, best before 5/06) Off-white head atop clearish amber body. Aroma is just weakly hoppy, has sort of chalky quality. Not much lacing. Mouthfeel nice but thin. Flavor: bitterness flows right over tongue but not overly strong, kind of bready, was also picking up some metallic in initial pulls. Nothing floral or perfumy here, all bitter. | 0.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Jan 3, 2006 A metallic aroma jabs the nose. A dark amber solution that can only muster enough foam to create an archipelago setting for a head. This beer has a stale bitter taste that makes the eyes squint and the cheeks quiver.
They should have used more than one kind of hops.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 1, 2006 Wheres the aroma? What little there is is faint. Earthy hop and grainy flavor with assertive bitterness in the end. Mouthfeel is nice and creamy. Very low sweetness. Did not like this. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA

A buttered popcorn and granny smith apple aroma. The flavor is caramel, apples, and cherries. An herbal presence does exist. The mouthfeel is a bit thin but a definite bitter flavor does exist. Very little of the pine and citrus fruit found in many other IPAs. Pretty good stuff
