mildly floral aroma, some "vitamin C" notes.
Lt copper, slight haze, nice head that clings to the glass.
Citusry flavor, bitter finish. Markedly "british" hop flavor - it is a fuggle beer after all
medium body
A decent IPA. Not overly bitter, the hopiness of Fuggles is notable. Hop flavor predominates in the start and middle, and a lingering bitterness in the finish. Quite drinkable

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 29, 2005 Poured with a big rocky head and large bubbles. Aroma is relatively weak for an IPA. There was a whiff of hops and not much else. A very nice mouthfeel with moderate to low carbonation (hard pour). Hops are apparent but not overbearing. Finish is hoppy. An average IPA overall. jcwattsrugger (5374), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 26, 2005 Poured an effervescent light amber iwth a tall creamy white head. Aroma of granny smith apples and slight hop bitterness. Taste is bitter hops without much character save the smallest touch of apple with a long dry toffee finish. Hmm... making IPA’s with only one hop variety doesn’t seem to be a smart idea at all. TheBeerOrg (1577), Kentucky, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 26, 2005 Pours dark golden with a mostly receding white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, and flowery hops. Taste is bready caramel maltiness with a spicy mellow hoppiness. Fuggle hops won’t bite you in the ass, this beer doesn’t have an aggressive hop profile. But ultimately the hops are still there in force, cutting through my spicy ramen with ease. The Fuggles make this an atypical IPA, I would call it an English Pale Ale. Too mellow to be fully enjoyable. Some Golding hops could have made this a bit more intense, but the beer is quite easy to drink as is.
