Now this one I like. Tasted at the montreal beer festival. Pours a deep amber orange, Thick tall off-white head. Aroma is Fuggles hop, that’s it. Palate can only be described as "Granny Smith Apple", I hope that makes sence. Taste is lovley, if a little simple. Fuggle hop, making that almost floral, almost bitter domonant taste. Malt is undetectable except for a slight bubble gum flavour, undertones of plumb. Aftertaste is hoppy, very hoppy, stays with you for mins. All in all the tastes are very VERY well balanced. Cheers

Nice amber body with a thick and lasting off-white head. Pleasant Fuggle hops aroma with herbal and floral notes. Taste is smooth and well balanced, but lacks the complexity I was expecting. Hopefully, it leaves a long hoppy aftertaste.

Thick and tall off white head, warm amber color. Smells green and hoppy, but not quite as floral as other beers and fairly weak. Begins almost sweet, with the malts working in conjunction with the more flowery aspects of the Fuggles. The palate is the reason why Fuggles is so good... Finishes strong and bitter, with a nice dry touch at the end. Pretty good. A nice experiment in hops.

A creamy white head, pours an orange copper color. A floral aroma, though not as bold as other IPA’s. Not much malt, a nice Fuggles hop taste; nice and smooth, absent of that sharp bite of hops. A refreshing crisp dry and bitter brew.

Pours golden with an average white head laces the glass. Aroma is grass and light malts. Flavor is sweet with a hoppy aftertaste. This is pretty ho hum for an IPA it is drinkable but just not outstanding. It doesn’t have the sharp contrast between the malts and hops that I’ve come to expect in an IPA. Pretty boring.

Pours a very pale gold with a thin snow white head. Like most Shipyard products, lots of lace and fizzy. Smell is grassy malt and lots of floral hops. Citrus. Taste is unbalanced. Grassy pale malt is way too light to stand up to the considerable hops. Like a golden ale very heavily hoppped. Very bitter. Thin and crisp (again, too thin) with a long Fuggles hop aftertaste. I like bitter but there is nothing behind the hops to complement them. OK but not great. A great beer if you want to hone your tastebuds to recognize Fuggles.

(bottle) Pours deep gold with frothy white head. Honey colored in glass. Weak smell of grass and grain. Flavor starts sweet with hoppy bitterness appearing in aftertaste; nice taste. Medium bodied, crisp, but leaves a film in the mouth. A tasty beer.

In a competition to have the most passable IPA this would win. It’s sorta orange with a thick white head. Smells like hops. Tastes like hops. This is boring just like the state of Maine. I’d drink it if I wanted something decent to get drunk off though.
