Sweet and light bodied with a metalic edge. Some light grassy hops and vanilla detracts from the shortcomings of this too light beer, making it very drinkable. That metallic edge however keep reminding me of what I am drinking. Beerlando (2321), Orlando, Florida, USA

Aroma and taste is like a sweet and skunky corn malt, with the slightest hint of lemon flavor on the finish. Reminds me of Modelo Especial, another awful beer. Scores slightly higher only due to the lemon finish but might as well be the same beer. hopscotch (5482), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Mar 1, 2007 Bottle purchased at Bodega Blue... Clear and almost colorless. Almost aroma less and flavorless... just a wee bit tangy. Watery, spritzy mouthfeel. Short, watery, completely clean finish. Ok, time to break out the old adage again. Drinking this beer was like having sex in a canoe... Fucking way too close to water! There, I said it again. I said I wouldn’t, but I went and did! Palidor19 (1773), Brandon, Florida, USA

Didn’t really sit right with me, and ended up seemign to be pretty bland and lame. nick76 (2657), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 24, 2006 The aroma is corn malt with a faint hops smell. The appearance is pale gold with a fizzy head. The flavor is weak and slightly metallic, but one can really taste the wheat that was not evident in the aroma. The palate is like water. I don’t know why a quality brewery like Shipyard wants to make a light beer. But, I guess since they had a lighthouse benefit beer it had to be a "light’. Cornfield (4937), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | May 15, 2006 The first thing I noticed was the wet cardboard aroma, then the color, golden, and minimalist’s head. Not much to note about the flavor, somewhat sweet barley malts and wheat. Then it was over. Thank you.

Purchased by a friend for my 30th birthday as part of the World Market “Beers Of America” 10-pack...Pours a sparkling, water-logged gold with a small, fizzy, white head that quickly diminished. Absolutely no lacing...Smell some light straw malts and light grassy hops. A bit like paper...Light in body and thin in texture with no finish and average carbonation...Barely any taste other than some light sweet bread...Better than the Mich Ultra’s of the world but still pointless. Why not just drink water?
