Commercial Description:
The Shipyard Ale is a non-traditional, full bodied American Red Ale. The warm coppery orange color, combined with distinctive wheat malt flavors and hoppy characteristics, are sure to please most anyone. Winter Ale is made up of 5 different malts and 5 different hops, creating a complex flavor.
This is also Shipyard Nitro which can be found during the winter months at Federal Jacks Brew Pub

Pours reddish brown with a tan head. Smells of sweet malt, some sweet citrus, earthy tea. Tastes earthy and tea like with some spicy hints on the finish.

Medium brown head. Opaque black body with dark brown edges. Roasty licorice and coke aroma. Dry licorice, chocolate, and coffee taste with soy notes. Light body. Dry roasty soy and burnt grain aftertaste. It’s OK, I guess. (0.65l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)

Bottle. Pours a dark amber body with a white head. Some berry, toffee, and butter malty character with some earth and caramel. Gone before you knew it.

Bottle, with Tommy at his Winter Six Pack tasting. Warm ruby, persistent fine tan head. Bright toasty cake aroma, a little lemon. Toffee, grape sweetness, some apparent alcohol. Butter, a touch of resiny hops in the finish. A very nice little wintery amber.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy reddish amber with a moderate off-white head that barely lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left a bit of lace. Mild aroma of malt with some herbal hops. The flavor begins with a decent dose of malt, but the flavor does not sustain and quickly subsides. Some unsweetend iced tea and herbal hops are also present. An ok beer, but probably not something I would re-visit.

Wasnt expecting what I got. Got this on draft at Oldsmar Tap House and expected a dark stout, but instead I was pleasantly supprised to get a fruit ale. Quite delicious paired with cheese and crackers

Amber in color with malty aroma and taste. Also, slightly spicy but goes down smooth. It was actually called "nitro" and was on tap. Quite nice and will drink again.

Pours a dark cloudy amber color, head is fairly small, off white and creamy. Smooth lightly roasted malts with a hint of spice. melony fruit on the nose, sweet with a hint of pumpkin.
