Sweet aroma with lots of cinnamon, some clove and some cardamon. Dryer but still sweetish flavor with plenty of clove, cardamon and cinnamon. Very long finish. My first pumpkin beer. I like the aroma. fonefan (11888), VestJylland, Denmark

Aroma is spicy - clove, cinnamon like Danish Glögg or blood sausage. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 2, 2009 Nothing special here. Pumpkin pie spices abound. Nice for a change of pace, but not a favorite of mine. Gregis (1135), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 1, 2009 Pours a clear pale gold with a thin, fizzy, off-white head that quickly disappears. On the nose is a slightly medicinal allspice/pale malt combination. Light-bodied and effervescent with a drying, mineral-like finish. Mildly sour blend of pale malt with a dry allspice backing. This is a decently drinkable pumpkin ale, but there are a lot of better alternatives out there. fidelis83 (729), Clinton, Iowa, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 31, 2008 Pours golden honey with a 1 finger white head that quickly fades to a ring. Aroma is pumpkin, lemon pastry, allspice, cloves, and green walnut skins. Flavor is pumpkin and spices. Tarts sweet and refreshing but boring. Finish is tart and kind of weak. Body is thin and watery. puggy211 (596), cordova, Tennessee, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 24, 2008 Bottle. Clear, filtered amber honey color. Pumpkin pie, whipped cream and light spice in the nose. Light, watery, simple, but has some nice pie spice and sweet hay. Decent enough to drink, but falls short compared to other pumpkin beer. hellbilly (1566), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA

bottle BB april 09. damn pumpkin beers get the better of me... bastards!
pours a bit emaciated... clear orange with a small white head which doesn*t want to stick around.
lots of spice in the nose though little to no actual pumpkin to speak of... sweet (maybe grains but not really. just sweet.), nutmeg, fake plastic-y floral smell and a lager yeast aroma akin to the cheap stuff.
the palate is quite dry given the sugary aroma. again, it*s really spicy with mild/sparse pumpkin/earthiness, faint caramel-y malt and that same plastic-y taste on the finish. light bodied with prickly carbonation which makes it acidic and a bit harsh.
i tried to like this, i really did.

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Dec 18, 2008 Bottled, labeled "Kennebunkport Pumpkin Ale." Very hazy golden, no head. Lots of sandy particles suspended throughout. Nose is heavy with cinnamon, pumpkin and a bit of apricotty hops. Very sour, off-putting flavor - steamed vegetables, metal and lemony finish. Doubled checked the best-by date - April 2009, so not an old bottle. Not good.
