Strong initial bite to a pleasant pumpkin pie aftertaste. Very much like drinking liquid pie filling. Interesting for a couple sips, below average beer for a whole bottle. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours a medium clear gold with 2 finger head. Nose is mild spicey pumpkin pie mix. Palate is much the same. I didn’t think I’d like this beer, and I don’t really, but it’s better than I thought it would be. Thin mouth feel with decent lacing. Not as weird as some other spiced brews I’ve had. mcc5468 (103), USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/20 | May 2, 2008 If you want to drink a pumpkin pie, then this beer is for you. I couldn’t finish this one. Way too sweet and too many spices going on. Boston Beer Works has a much better one. GMCC2181 (867), Bear/Elkton, Delaware, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 30, 2008 I have had this a couple times from a bottle but I let this bottle sit in the fridge for about 6 months hoping it would mellow out a little. It did not.... Color is clearish yellow, with a small head. Aroma is pumpkin/nutmeg. The flavor is not bad.....it just doesnt taste like pumpkin. It taste like to much nutmeg. Easy/light to drink not the worse beer, but there has to be better pumpkin beers out there. mmather (113), Colorado, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 27, 2008 from a 12 oz bottle. Pumpkin origins are very evident here and this is a very nice beer. However, it is a bit on the sweet side and the beer is a bit thin. Some of the spices are a bit over the top as well. This beer beats most of the Pumpkin beer entries, but seek better. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 26, 2008 A- Golden orange, completely clear and fizzy. Pours with a 1 finger head that dies down quickly with no lacing.
S- Smell is very faint but I can pick out the pumpkin flavor, an intense sweetness and a big amount of spices.
T- Tastes like pumpkin bread. Mettalic tinge at the end that didnt bug me at first but as I got to the bottom of the beer really started to make me feel like I was drinking something from a BMC.
M- A bit thin and very carbonated.
D- I dig the taste for something this price and I definitely don’t regret drinking it but something this sweet is more of a novelty then something you could drink a few of. For the price at trader joes it definitely was at least on par with what I expected. SN11 (57), USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Apr 26, 2008 I’m not usually a fan of pumpkin beer but at $2.99 for 6 bottles, I’ve had to try it. The flavor is sparkling with the pumpkin taste. Very minimal malts. I would call it light ale. This isn’t really good for anything else than scareing your freinds on holloween with this horrible beer. spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 21, 2008 My first pumpkin beer. Pours a hazy amber with a half-inch head. Minimal lacings. Aroma is pumpkin pie spice, allspice, nutmeg. Mild hps and slightly sweet malts. Pretty good balance. Spices leave a slightly bitter note on the sides of the tongue. Probably fewer calories than a slice of pumkin pie. Palalte is average.
Overall a good choice for fall. I have no point of reference for pumpkin beers but it was pretty good. Generally not a fan of flavored beers I did enjoy this one.
