Nose of wheat, pumpkin, and vanilla. The brew is a sparkling honey amber. The frothy white mostly diminishing head leaves no lace. The brew is again very wheatish with no shortage of pumpkin presence, a light acidity and a brief crisp finish. The light body is creamy and lively. I’m surprised this brew rates so low! | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 2, 2007 12oz bottle of Kennebunkport Pumpkin Ale. Pours a clear cider color with a good head. Aroma is crisp and earthy like an IPA, with yeast and malt alongside tart citrusy hops and the unmistakable aroma of cloves and pumpkin. Taste is medium and creamy, with a strong and somewhat sour pumpkin flavor along with clove and cinnamon-like spice flavors. It tastes like pumpkins, you’ve gotta give it that. bigrond (1055), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 29, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours clear and golden with no head. Light malt with pumpkin spice in the aroma such as clove but there also seems to be a banana bread hint. Flavor is fairly boring with light clove, cinnamon and very light malt. Thin body and mouth feel with OK carbonation. The whole thing is just an average/ho-hum brew. joohefner (380), Isla Vista, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 29, 2007 not overly artificial which is easy to get in this style. the spice is probably a little overpowering with a decent hoppy bitterness. would have been a lot better if the flavors were more balanced brianjames1 (322), Northridge, California, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 28, 2007 12 oz bottle. Clear and medium gold pour with a very small head. Malty aroma with just a hint of pumpkin—enough spice to make it nice. The pumpkin flavor is pretty weak and watery—more of a mild honey flavor. Finish is a little dry and tastes like honey. Sad to say but Anheuser-Busch’s Jack’s Pumpkin Spice Ale tastes better. HOPSHUNTER (389), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 27, 2007 12oz Bottle Thin mouthfeel almost watery. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin are present but not dramatic. I probably would have enjoyed it more if the flavors were a bit more pronounced. Definetly goes down well on a cool fall night though.
