Syd (734), Twin Cities Metro, Minnesota, USA May 30, 2008 Bottle pours hazed straw yellow with a smallish head and some lace. The aroma is clearly of yeasty clove and citrus. The flavor is yeasty, somewhat spicy, and very off. The palate is decent enough. This really just does not work for me.
pineypower (892), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA Oct 5, 2008 Had a glass at LBI Chowderfest 2008. Pours out a cloudy light yellowish color with slight orange tinge to it. Moderate white head. Aroma is of some yeast and a little citrus. Very drinkable, like a Hoe with training wheels. Expectations weren’t high because of it being an AB beer, and it didn’t let down at least. Taste was of some citrus, some yeast, but really nothing much going on. fiulijn (5880), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Oct 5, 2008 Draught at Old Dominion Brewhouse, Washington DC Cloudy blond color. Light aroma. Not much wheat character, sweetish. Very simple but drinkable. f351c4v (225), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 4, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Mildly dusty aroma, and nothing else. Smooth, almost creamy body, mildly chalky, hint of citrus. Not appealing, sad I tried this. hopson (498), Williamsville, New York, USA Sep 29, 2008 draft- another pleasant ab surprise that I had a day after trying and liking their Jack’s pumpkin ale- This one also fit the bill for a Belgian Wit- nice color, pleasant coriander and orange peel notes- high drinkability. DandyWolfFloyd (249), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 28, 2008 I wonder how many of us bring our biases to the table. I tried not to, and actually found this to be an acceptable session. It’s aroma has a nice aroma, with pleasant yeast aromas, some cloves, and some citrus, presumably lemon and orange. It’s a glowing cloudy yellow, with no head persay, and only a minor collar. It’s flavor is very pleasant, but a bit safe, nice yeast bodies combined with nice wheat and citrus zest. Smooth and easy drinking.
