| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 6, 2009 Dark brown color. Cherries, brandy and chocolate exude from the nose. The mouth is a touch alcoholic with dark fruit and apricots. Slight warming finish. Not as balanced as hoped, but great depth and very drinkable. KyotoLefty (1491), Kyoto, Japan

Beautiful head and orange-brown color. Thick and rich looking. Nice aroma of roasty malt, carmel. Typically doppelbock aroma. Flavor big, strong. Big caramel, sweet but a profound bitterness to balance. These guys can do no wrong lately.
