Poured a clear amber color with an average creamy white head that was mostly lasting and good lacing. Medium citrus hop aroma. Medium body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration.
My expectations where met with a good session beer. RAYBOY01 (1829), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 4, 2008 A respectable APA...caramel malt sweetness and moderate PNW hop back, all citrusy and pine-like. Touch too thin-bodied, but very repeatable. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Mar 7, 2008 pours amber color, with a dinky head. the aroma was mostly air, and i am beginning to wonder if my nose is working. a bitterness in the flavor, but not the grapefruity bitterness i love in a hophead beer. the finish struck me as rather watery. i can drink more than one of these beers, but i don’t have to respect myself in the morning. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 17, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Medum amber with no head. Aroma is a lot of American hops and some caramel. Bitter pine flavor is very pronounced but some malt backbone. Thin to medium sized body with min. carb. Pretty perfect APA. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 22, 2007 West Coast style APA with "C" hops citrus flavor front and center. Bitterness was moderate and the APA had a slight sour aftertaste. Cornfield (4936), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 17, 2007 This pours a light copper & gold body with a good-lacing fluffy white head. The aroma is pretty light, a soft caramel topped by pine & grapefruit. Nicely balanced in the flavor, if a bit thin. Light caramel flavors are evenly matched by the PNW bitterness, but the finish is prolonged and bitter. Not bad.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 13, 2007 On tap. (Notes from October 2006.) Pours a clear rich auburn-amber with a thin but stubborn white head. Aroma is barely detectable but what does come through is a bare hint of grapefruit. Flavor is a solid wall of Cascade hops without much of the "balance" alluded to in the commercial description. Another in the tiresome "more-is-better" mode of so much Cascade and/or Centennial that the beer ends up tasting like dish soap. Where’d the citrus hinted at in the aroma go? Hidden behind the solid fortress of hop bitterness, I guess. You hop addicts can keep this bereft-of-finesse abomination.
