Ruby amber hued with a small rocky head and spotty lace. The aroma has notes of catty and grassy hops, some resiny and piney tones, anise and pepper, prune, vanilla, and oak. The taste starts with sharp bitterness with an oaky and earthy undertone. Moderately fruity and nutty but also a tad cardboard and oxidized. The mouth feel is soft and warming. Strange and interesting but seems to have gotten old too quickly.

Bottle: The aroma is moderately herbal with some light vanilla and light bourbon. It pours transparent dark amber with a small white head. The flavor starts with caramel and light vanilla. The finish has moderate citrus and herbal hoppiness with some light bourbon. Medium-full bodied with a slightly syrupy mouthfeel.
