Very dark brown syrupy pour with moderate tan head. the nose is very roasty, bourbon, coffee, chocolate, vanilla. The texture is slick, syrupy, creamy, but not particularly full-bodied. Flavors are chocolate, espresso, nuts, bourbon, vanilla, and deeply roasted barley malt. Enjoyable porter.

Bottle and shared with Jeff and Kevin:

Deep brown with a small frothy head and minimal lace. The aroma is smoky and woody, vanilla, chocolate, walnut and plum esters. The taste starts malty with chocolate and vanilla overtones. Nutty and hints of dark fruits towards an ashy smoky finish. The mouth feel is oily but a tad thin. Okay but some of the original smoky notes are covered up a tad by the bourbon barrel.
