jezmez68 (332), Chesterton, Indiana, USA May 5, 2009 Not sure if they’ll ever make this again, as I believe they had to do some finagelling to get the malt up (increasing the boil to 120 minutes might have been the key). But still, an excellent balanced IPA nonetheless, but not as overpowering as the Sum Nug. BBB63 (4199), La Porte, Indiana, USA Apr 11, 2009 Tap at brewery: Hazy deep amber with a small head but very good lace. The aroma is catty, grassy and resiny hops, slight caramel, bready and a hint of aspirin. The flavor has a nice hop forward resin character balanced with a solid malty background. Dryish mineral finish. The mouth feel is sharp and lively, refreshing despite the ashy finish. Good body for the style. Very solid brew but not as hoppy as you would expect honestly. railcat1 (578), Orlando, Florida, USA Mar 4, 2009 This was a tasty Ipa with a nice mixture of malts and a good hop kick to it on tap and hints of citrus and a nice bitter finish to it .CHEERS!
tjthresh (1746), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Feb 26, 2009 Pours hazy amber with some white head. Strong pine and toasted caramel malt nose. Flavor is nicely balanced with a lingering bitterness. Medium body and balanced bitter finish. Really pretty good.
