RAYBOY01 (1813), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 26, 2009 Reddish golden pour with a slight haze and fluffy white head. Nose is light caramel malt and slight vanilla wine barrel notes. Flavor is very much wine like, weird and different, and enjoyable. Decent experiment. FlssmrBrewAlum (1079), Lisle, Illinois, USA Jun 26, 2009 Full draft poured on tap at the brewpub (Michigan City, IN). Pours a dull golden amber hue, hazy, decent soapy white head laces and clings well, dies to a small layer. Aromas are fairly muted, a bit grainy malt and a touch of barrel, faint but there. Initial takes is steps further, a fruity brew, syrah wine clearly there, giving signifcant charcater to a normally lifeless brew. Light oak and dryness, wine character dances on the palate. Wine and light tannins come in on the backend, very nice summer brew, I could put a a lot of this down and fun and interesting things with wine barrels win points with me. pantanap (1323), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 15, 2009 tap at brewpub... light hazy yellow brown pour with a thin white head... lightly tart aroma with lemons and other grains... just barely tart flavor, dull and thin, somewhat watery texture. not too much going on in this one. BBB63 (4199), La Porte, Indiana, USA Apr 11, 2009 Tap at brewery and served in a wine glass, hum? Clean and golden appearance with a minimal head and no lace. The aroma is white and red grapes skins, light oak, pale malts and a hint of wildflower meadow. The taste is very wine like, acidic and fruity with a woody finish, very mild malt background and ZERO bitterness. The mouth feel is very clean, soft and refreshing, short finish. Not very beer like but I think that was the point, for your friends who don’t like beer. railcat1 (578), Orlando, Florida, USA Mar 4, 2009 This was not my style at all more like a wine then a beer and was just to fruity and light for my taste, this would go good as a nice dinner drink.CHERS! tjthresh (1746), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Feb 26, 2009 Updated: Feb 27, 2009Golden with some white head. Certain grapy wine nose with a bit of oak. Flavor carries a bit more oak and finishes with plenty of gapes. Med light body with very little carb. I like it, but its totally a girl drink.
