gws57 (988), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Apr 26, 2008 Had this one draught at the brewpub in Michigan City, Indiana. Hazy, dark orange pour with a thick white head, rosy hoppiness in the nose, very bitter taste with a citrusy hoppy character, orange peel, rosewater and some grapefruit, complex and bitter, great!
Tmoney99 (3542), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Sep 3, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Poured clear copper color with medium white fizzy head that mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Medium bitter flavor with a medium solid bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Solid drinkable brew. RAYBOY01 (1623), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 5, 2008 Coppery pour, light PNW hop nose with citrus and pine, but very mild. Light caramel flavor, touches of biscuit and bread, light citrus/pine hop bite in the finish. APA on training wheels. jezmez68 (276), Chesterton, Indiana, USA Jul 11, 2008 Seemed a little off-balance. I can’t quite place it, but it appears to be the Benny’s Pale Ale malt backbone with different hops. The hops seem to cause the imbalance. They seem at odds with each other, and instead of forming a united bitterness and flavor, seem to cause undue bitterness instead. Not one of the best things I’ve had at Shoreline. I will try it again. Could be a good thing to bottle to see if the bitterness subsides. Cornfield (4262), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Jun 3, 2008 This poured a hazy copper/amber body with a slender head. Surprizingly good lacework. It had an aroma of pink grapefruit, zest of lemon, caramel, and a touch of pine. Nice citric bitterness in the flavor, tipping the scale in favor of the hops over the caramel, grainy sweetness of the malt. Sessionable.

BBB63 (3797), La Porte, Indiana, USA May 19, 2008 Tap: Orangy hazy hue with a small fizzy head and some lace. The aroma has notes of grapefruit, pear, pine, flowers, caramel, and biscuity malt. The taste has a mild hop bitterness and acidic fruity tone supported by the mat. The finish is slightly astrengent and chalky, a tad soapy too. The mouth feel is lightly carbonated and light to medium-bodied. An okay effort, sessionable.
