hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA Oct 19, 2009 Draft at Shoreline Brewery. Small white head transparent pale yellow body, fair amount of lacing, and visible carbonation. The aroma was lightly fruity, grainy and malty. The flavor was crisp, a little bit fruity, grainy, and lightly bitter. Smooth mouthfeel and medium bodied. Easy to drink, but needed more flavor and character. thedm (3833), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 20, 2009 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a transparent uncarbonated yellow-orange colored body and no lacing. The weak aroma was malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The oily flavor contained notes of malt and hops. An OK brew just nothing special. shawnm213 (884), South Bend, Indiana, USA Jul 19, 2009 tap at brewpub. pours a pale yellow with a white head. leaves some lace. aroma is bready, biscuity malts, some slight skunkiness. refreshing, but not very exciting, or tasty for that matter. FlssmrBrewAlum (1079), Lisle, Illinois, USA Jun 26, 2009 Sampler poured draft at the brewpub (Michigan City, IN). Pours a pale golden hue, clear with small white head that dies but clings to the glass. Aromas are slightly grainy, a touch fruity, with pilsner malt stink coming in. Initial is smooth, a touch fruity and grainy with light bitterness on the backend. A bit lifeless but a sessioner in a pinch. Not bad. Tmoney99 (4656), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Sep 1, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Poured clear golden color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate fruity sour citrus aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium balanced flavor with a medium biitersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer. RAYBOY01 (1813), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 5, 2008 Very thin golden pour. Light bready flavor with hints of continental herbal hopping in the finish, but just barely there. Just passable. sneagrams3 (1704), St. Louis, Missouri, USA May 15, 2008 Tasted 4/27/08. Sampler. Filtered with a pale golden hue. White trace head. Grainy aromas. Light bodied and crisp. Touch estery. Mild note of candy yeast. Solid interpretation. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA May 6, 2008 Probably the best Kolsch I have ever tried. On tatp at the brewpub with a pale yellow body and white head. The aroma was biscuitws and boiled potatoes. The taste was sweet potatoes with some bread crust. An earthy bread crust finish. Very good.
