May 6, 2008 Probably the best Kolsch I have ever tried. On tatp at the brewpub with a pale yellow body and white head. The aroma was biscuitws and boiled potatoes. The taste was sweet potatoes with some bread crust. An earthy bread crust finish. Very good.

Apr 26, 2008 Had this one draught at the brewpub in Michigan City, Indiana. Hazy, pale orangpour with a light malty and citrusy nose; very mild but balanced taste, not much going on here.

Sep 17, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Light yellow clear with no head. Grainy and clean aroma. Flavor is grain, banana, spicy, with that bitter macro taste. Thin to medium body. Overall a stand up kolsch. As my girlfriend said, "it takes me back to Germany."

Jul 6, 2007 10 ounce draught glass at the brewpub, June 19 2007. Hazy, very bright gold with just a touch of head and a bit of lacing....light grassy aroma with floral (dogwood) touches, pungent and expressive European hop notes appear when it has warmed somewhat....big biscuity malts envelope the tongue, nice sweet-dry balance throughout, very fresh and lightly hoppy, but alas the thinness and wateriness noted in some of the other samples I had really hurts this one....this place has some potential with a nice list of beers and a general cleanness to all of the products, but most of them need a bit more body to really shine.

May 4, 2007 On tap. Pours pale golden color with light frothy white head. Aroma of lemon zest, pale malts, citrus. Flavor is lemony, pale malts, citrus, straw, candi sugar. Palate is light, medium to low carbonation, finishes crisp and refreshing. Solid. I think the overall product is better than the parts.

Apr 16, 2007 From the description on the beer’s page: "Traditionally, Kölsch is served with a slice of lemon." Wisely, they chose not to serve it that way to me. This pours a very pale yellow body, slightly hazy, with a respectable white head. Aroma and taste are faint commodities on this one, some sugary sweet pale malts, a light lemony tartness.
