heemer77 (3634), Savannah, Missouri, USA May 6, 2008 Probably the best Kolsch I have ever tried. On tatp at the brewpub with a pale yellow body and white head. The aroma was biscuitws and boiled potatoes. The taste was sweet potatoes with some bread crust. An earthy bread crust finish. Very good. BBB63 (3767), La Porte, Indiana, USA Oct 7, 2006 On tap: Unfiltered golden hue topped by a small lasting head and left good lace on the pint glass. The aroma has notes of aromatic hops, grassy, biscuity malts, some pear notes, and a hint of pepper. The taste is clean and crisp with a nice balance of bitters and mild sweet malt and a hint of wheat. Slight acidic bite with a dash of yeast flavor yet on to a short finish. The mouth feel is properly carbonated, spritzy and refreshing, nice. Solid brew and nice to have a Kölsch that is clean and refreshing. tjthresh (1275), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Jul 6, 2006 Easily the best American made kolsch I’ve ever drank. Very clear golden with a good tightly bubbled head. Citrus and spicey hop aromas. Soft wheaty quality. And it was dry, not overly sweet like most American examples of Kolsch. Really hit the spot this day. The_Enemy (383), Chicago, USA Jan 10, 2007 On tap. Pours a slightly cloudy pale straw-yellow. Thin white head rereats to a rim around the edge. Aroma is crisp, fruity and Euro-hoppy with a prickly hop bitterness. Flavor starts with a sharp burst of clear, uncluttered hop bitterness on the back of the tongue, Tart fruit and grassy grain & hops then surge forward, finally finishing with another shot of hop bitter as it heads down the throat on a wave of prickly everfescent carbonation. Smoth, crisp, and with a touch of complexity. Nice Kolsch. jezmez68 (272), Chesterton, Indiana, USA Oct 13, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Light in color with barely a head that disappears quickly. Nice clean palate.
