railcat1 (578), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 25, 2007 This was a good beer for a seasonal with a malty and caramel taste with a sweet finish.CHEERS! Tmoney99 (4655), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Oct 8, 2007 Draft sample at Back Road Fall Fest 2007. Poured clear amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair. Moderate toasted sweet malty aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of short duration. My expectations where met with this brew. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Oct 3, 2007 From the tap this pours a clear golden amber with a modest off-white head with minimal lacing. The aroma is mildly sweet, toasted grains with a touch of caramel and a very slight hop bitterness. Some alcohol enteres into the flavor, the caramel is more pronounced, and the hops take on an earthy quality. Not bad.

MoDog (909), Griffith, Indiana, USA Sep 30, 2007 On tap at the Backroad Fall Fest, and served in a shaker. This beer poured a clear, bright orange color with a small, frothy, off-white head that slightly lasted. Some faint lace was left behind. The aroma was made up of mild caramel, bread, and some light citrus. The flavor was caramel, bready yeast, and a touch of citrus hoppiness. The mouthfeel was light to medium-bodied with a decent dose of carbonation. A solid beer that is true to style. TheEnemy (422), Chicago, USA Jan 13, 2007 On tap. (Notes from October 2006.) Pours a deep fiery caramel-aburun. Thin head disssipates quickly. Fairly faint but pleasant malty caramel aroma with a bare hint of hop bitterness. Flaor is a big burst of caramel and misplaced fruity esters. Some diacetyl as well. Somewhat lacking in malt sweetness -- definitely pushes the dry end of the fest style. Thick, slightly sticky palate fits the style. Right idea that misses its mark. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Dec 17, 2006 Draft at the brew pub. Clear copper color with thin white head. Smelled of plum, sprucy hops, and biscuity malt. Seemed to be kind of a strange combination for a marzen. Noble hop and biscuity malt flavors. Not bad. tjthresh (1746), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Nov 13, 2006 Growler. Poured an light amber color with some eggshell white head. Strong Munich malt and noble hop aroma. Very well balanced malt and hop balance. Medium body and a joy to drink. Good job, Sam.
