shawnm213 (841), South Bend, Indiana, USA Jul 19, 2009 tap at brewpub. pours a hazy golden with a white head. spicy, some citrusy hops. grapefruit. not as good as shoreline sum-nug. FlssmrBrewAlum (1053), Lisle, Illinois, USA Jun 26, 2009 Sampler poured draft at the brewpub (Michigan City, IN). Pours a very hazy golden hue, decent whitish head that laces and dies to a film. Aromas are a nice hoppiness, floral yet mellow, a bit fruity, with underlying pale and faint caramel sweetness. Initial is light bodied, light bitterness, with a touch of citrusy fruit, a touch of grass, pale malts. Nothing spectacular, more of a sessioner APA. Bitterness is pretty underpar. Not a bad beer, just a very mediocre IPA, far below average. 17thfloor (1402), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 10, 2009 Updated: Jun 26, 2009Clean your tap lines... and don’t act like the customer is a complete idiot. That is a really bad way to run a business. The food is very good though. Oh... yea this beer was disgusting... we were actually taking bets at who could hold down a sip at the table. RAYBOY01 (1812), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 27, 2008 A bit mild for an IPA, but decent enough brew, Caramel and malt with herbal/floral hopping in the background. Biscuity/bready malt sweetness upfront followed by a moderate English style hop bite. OK. MoDog (909), Griffith, Indiana, USA Dec 1, 2007 On tap at Shoreline Brewery and served in a shaker. This beer poured a hazy orange with a thin beige head that left very little lace. The aroma of the beer was made up of sweet malt, light toffee, pine, and some light bread notes. The flavor was full of nicely bitter citrus along with some light caramel and toffee. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with light carbonation. A well done, sessionable IPA. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Apr 16, 2007 Bright yellow/gold body with a tall head... initially. Nice lacing. It had an aroma of sweet pale malts and a floral and grassy hopping. The flavor is well balanced between sweet grainy malt and a flowery, earthy bitterness, tipping ever so slightly towards the bitter side. Not bad at all.
I’m surprized that, since this is an IPA brewed with all English ingredients, it wasn’t forced into the Premium Bitter/ESB category.

mj (4971), Colorado, USA Jan 1, 2007 Pint at the brewery. Clear orange appearance. Spicy yeast and muddy, unpolished pineapple scented hops in the nose. Some pine wood, tingley buttered hops as well. Smells like pine-sol floor cleaner. Flavor is cleaner than the aroma, with some light pine cones, wood sap, a faint bit of medicinal action going on. Bitterness is decent, a little oily, not dry. Less fruity and more like pine wood.
