Commercial Description:
India Pale Ale's were born out of necessity. While England was colonizing India their beer would spoil on the long journey. Higher alcohol and higher hops would both act as a natural preservative; creating a beer that would make the troops happy. Our IPA is true to the style using all English grains and hops.

Pint at the brewery. Clear orange appearance. Spicy yeast and muddy, unpolished pineapple scented hops in the nose. Some pine wood, tingley buttered hops as well. Smells like pine-sol floor cleaner. Flavor is cleaner than the aroma, with some light pine cones, wood sap, a faint bit of medicinal action going on. Bitterness is decent, a little oily, not dry. Less fruity and more like pine wood.

Bright yellow/gold body with a tall head... initially. Nice lacing. It had an aroma of sweet pale malts and a floral and grassy hopping. The flavor is well balanced between sweet grainy malt and a flowery, earthy bitterness, tipping ever so slightly towards the bitter side. Not bad at all.

I’m surprized that, since this is an IPA brewed with all English ingredients, it wasn’t forced into the Premium Bitter/ESB category.

Draft sample at brewery. Amber color with an average fizzy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate complex sour citrus aroma. Medium body. Medium well balanced flavor with a medium balanced finish of moderate duration.

1st batch on tap: Clean golden hue with a fine lace and head. The aroma has notes of golden apple, pear, flowery yeast esters, and aromatic hops. The taste starts fruity and acidic with balanced bitterness and malt. Very traditional and mellow IPA. The feel is smooth and easy to drink. Don’t expect a big hop monster here but it should work for most customers.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a head of foamy white colored bubbles that was mostly lasting and left behind a transparent softly carbonated dark yellow colored body and an excellent lacing. The mild aroma was malty. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and medumly tingly at the finish. The weak flavor contained notes of malt and hops.

A bit mild for an IPA, but decent enough brew, Caramel and malt with herbal/floral hopping in the background. Biscuity/bready malt sweetness upfront followed by a moderate English style hop bite. OK.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Served in a standard American pint glass with a slight ring of foam. Flashes of yellows and oranges with a touch of haze in the center. Light spicy hop and crystal malt aroma. Spicy and floral bitterness. Very low carbonation, as if it were served from a beer engine, but it was not. Pretty easy drinking and un-offensive.

Clean your tap lines... and don’t act like the customer is a complete idiot. That is a really bad way to run a business. The food is very good though.
