cexshun (57), Portage, Indiana, USA May 15, 2009 Pours amber brown with a short, off white head. Heavy yeast nose with light alcohol. Very malty, lightly hopped. Finish lingers a bit. Light and crisp. Good session beer, but didn’t knock my socks off. RAYBOY01 (1813), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 27, 2008 Light amber color with off-white head. Light caramel and toffee with some moderate PNW hopping in the finish. decent, if unchallenging, session ale. sneagrams3 (1704), St. Louis, Missouri, USA May 15, 2008 Tasted 4/27/08. Pt 4 of the sampler. Hazy with an amber hue. Off white head. Mild malt and medium bodied. Cocoa and toasty flavors. Nice hoppy character. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA May 6, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. The body was dark rusty orange with a light khaki head. The aroma was bready with some caramel and cherries. The taste was iced tea and toffee. A nice roasted coffee finish mixed with a little grapefruit. This reminded me of grapefruit. Very good. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA Mar 7, 2008 pours dark dark brown, no head. unfortunately, i got nothing but air from the aroma. the flavor is rich, nutty, coffee-ish, but not particularly entertaining. palate if full bodied and nutty. not a bad beer, but not a gerat beer. Tmoney99 (4656), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Oct 8, 2007 Draft sample at Back Road Fall Fest 2007. Poured hazy brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate sour citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body with slick texture. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Oct 3, 2007 I wouldn’t have known this was an Irish Ale unless I saw it on this page. Thought it was an amber. Not bad. It pours a deep reddish amber body with a firm beige head. Plenty of intricate lacework here. It’s got a malty, fruity (mainly sweet apples) aroma with a hit of PNW hops to spice it up. The hop flavors - grapefruit, zest of lemon, a touch of pine - build up as you drink leading to a moderately bitter, dry finish. Pretty decent.

thedm (3833), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 19, 2006 This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized light brown colored bubbles that was long lasting and left behind a semi-opaque softly carbonated and a very good lacing. The weak aroma was Irish Red malty. The mouth feel was smooth at the start and mediumly tingly at the finish. The weak flavor contained notes of Irish Red malt.
