The aroma is a soft wheat with a touch of grapefruit, pine, and zest of lemon. The PNW hop bitterness picks up in thew flavor, nicely balanced with the malty sweetness, leaving a refreshingly bitter finish. Good sessionable stuff, as the name implies.

Pale, fairly clear yellow-gold with no real head; just a bit darker than the blueberry beer, with some lacing this time....faint, tart, grainy-bready aroma, a bit of dry honey....nice tart body, lots of malt character, sour-dough texture throughout, a touch of cranberry, long finish that grows more sour, solid somewhat high carbonation level. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 6, 2007 Tap: A clean golden hue with a fading fizzy head and no lace. The aroma was a combination of citric and herbal hops, biscuit and wheat, and just a dash of pine. The taste was at least a touch more interesting that your standard paint-by-number American Wheat due to the hop bitterness and citric (lemon and grapefruit) character. The background of pale malt and wheat provided a solid foil to the hops. The mouth feel is watery as expected but there is a surprising amount of carbonation. A refreshing summer beer but not something I would drink much of. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 20, 2009 This draft brew from the brewery poured a head of bubbles that were and left behind a and a poor lacing. The weak aroma was dough. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a acidic aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of malt and mild hops. An OK brew just nothing special. hotstuff (3183), Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 19, 2009 On tap at Shoreline Brewery. Small white head with poor retention, transparent yellow body, very little carbonation observed, and excellent lacing. The aroma was hoppy, citrus and a hint of pine. The flavor was Amarillo hops, bitter, grapefruit, some maltiness, crisp and refreshing. The mouthfeel was slightly tingly and this beer is medium bodied. A little too hoppy tastying for the style, but tasty nonetheless. patrick767 (2051), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 21, 2009 tap at the brewery - Pours mostly clear light amber with a small white head. The aroma is of citrus and hops with some subtle wheat. The flavor initially made me think of a pale ale because of the moderately strong hops and slightly darker color than most wheat ales, but the different malt profile comes through with elements of wheat. Good quaff. RAYBOY01 (1869), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 27, 2008 Light golden pour and fluffy white head that releases a hint of grassiness and citrusy hop notes. The flavor is biscuit-like malt sweetness. grassy wheat notes, and PNW citrusy hops. Very decent representation of style. tjthresh (1781), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
