750ml from mibirder - thanks, Sean!!! The more Shorts beers I try, the more convinced I am that dude is crazy. Not quite as golden on the pour as I’d expected, more of a clear orange with a still lively head (given that this is 2 years old, I’m a bit surprised). Very strange and oddly appealing nose of honey and peanuts (I imagine the latter comes from the sunflower fermentation, but maybe it’s just because I’ve been craving Shorts’ Uber Goober). Weirdly, it all complements the sweet and malty strong ale, making it rich and with a lingering finish but not at the expense of any kind of drinkability. Perhaps this is kind of like a Diet Mead Cola?

Bottle shared at local BA tasting. Poured a hazy copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy herbs, nuts and earthy aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout beer for style and my expectations where met.

Bottle 313 of 798. Orange pour reminiscent of an IPA. Flavor was a bit salty and the sunflower seeds definitely translate to the palate. Kind of reminded me of liquid Honey Nut Cheerios. Which I like.

Tasting at Papsoe
Hazy amber color; creamy head. Breadish aroma, maybe also with the sunflower seeds. Good Ale, solid moutfeel, good malt, medium sweetness, with a different bread touch than other beers, and light honey. Correct bitterness. Strange but not bad.

Bottle 313 of 798 shared by Rogueone. Pours a clear copper with no head. Tart fruit aroma mixed with caramel sweetness. Alchol flavor up front, very fruity and dry hoppy finish. Pretty good.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and spices. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, straw, and alcohol, leading to a bitter finish. The alcohol tickles the tongue.
