The more Shorts beers I try, the more convinced I am that dude is crazy. Not quite as golden on the pour as I’d expected, more of a clear orange with a still lively head (given that this is 2 years old, I’m a bit surprised). Very strange and oddly appealing nose of honey and peanuts (I imagine the latter comes from the sunflower fermentation, but maybe it’s just because I’ve been craving Shorts’ Uber Goober). Weirdly, it all complements the sweet and malty strong ale, making it rich and with a lingering finish but not at the expense of any kind of drinkability. Perhaps this is kind of like a Diet Mead Cola? Tmoney99 (4798), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured a hazy copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy herbs, nuts and earthy aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate to long duration.
This is a standout beer for style and my expectations where met. fonefan (11891), VestJylland, Denmark

Flavor was a bit salty and the sunflower seeds definitely translate to the palate. Kind of reminded me of liquid Honey Nut Cheerios. Which I like. fiulijn (7520), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy

Breadish aroma, maybe also with the sunflower seeds. Good Ale, solid moutfeel, good malt, medium sweetness, with a different bread touch than other beers, and light honey. Correct bitterness. Strange but not bad. JaBier (1284), Capital City, Ohio, USA
