Cloudy amber with a small white head. Aroma is herbal and a little nutty, with dusty and yeasty touches. Sweet and alcohol filled flavour with a malty and nutty finish that could be sunflower seeds.

750ml bottle from the brewery on the weekend of our anniversary. yes i’m a sentimental fuck.... pours hazy light amber brown, more orange with a thin wispy off-white head..... aroma of caramel, nuts, and dried sweet fruits. predominantly malty.... sweet smooth dried fruit flavor with an alcy bite in the finish. not too distinguishable in the sunflower (but yet lightly nutty) category but the sweetness does semi lends itself to the honey involved but not as sweet as you would think. not expecting as much of a bite.

Bottle @ Kolding Shorts Tasting, 18.09.08.
Pours unclear amber with lots of tiny floaties. A fizzy, off-white head that soon disappears. Aroma has some notes of band-aid, coriander, herbs and honey. Fine mouthfeel, light oiliness. Flavour is quite alcoholic, honey, very dry finish with clear sunflower seeds. Long honey and caramel aftertaste.

Bottle. [Drikkeriget Grand Shorts Imperial Series tasting, thanks to Jeppe for another great session] Average beige creamy head that mostly diminished. Fair display of lacework. Cloudy dark amber color. This is quite unique with the heavy use of sunflower that influences the aroma of this beer. Also good use of honey to balance the flavor. Also picked up fruit, spice and mild malty base. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and mild dry texture. Moderated sweet and bitter flavor. Spicy burning like finish. Very interesting brew.

750mL bottle, courtesy of Schutzenliesel. Thanks, Tom! Pours a hazy, golden-amber color; light tan head with glistening, fine-bubbled lacing. Lively amounts of ginger, floral notes, and dried oranges; lively citrus bitterness at the perimeter. High levels of carbonation. Chewy, medium-to-full mouthfeel: lots of honey, light spicing, dried oranges, and pleasant yeast; nicely dry and intensely drinkable; really tasty, chewy stuff. Lengthy finish: honey, light spicing, and pleasant dry yeastiness.

Cloudy amber body with a small white head. Big nutty nose with biscuit/cracker, golden fruits and honey. The flavor is moderately sweet, lots of nuts, honey, cracker, slight roast and herbs. Full body is chewy with moderate carbonation.

750ml bottle (#180 of 798). The aroma was as advertised. I distinctly smelled a bag of sunflower seeds with added hints of honey and biscuit. Poured a slightly hazy dark orange color. The head was off white and reduced relatively quickly to a thin film. Minimally sweet with mild to moderate carbonation and a warming alcohol effect. Light to medium body. I tasted sunflower seeds/mixed nuts, light clove, and alcohol. There was also a hint of lemon. Yet another interesting beer from Short’s.
