Pours a hazy, golden-amber color; light tan head with glistening, fine-bubbled lacing. Lively amounts of ginger, floral notes, and dried oranges; lively citrus bitterness at the perimeter. High levels of carbonation. Chewy, medium-to-full mouthfeel: lots of honey, light spicing, dried oranges, and pleasant yeast; nicely dry and intensely drinkable; really tasty, chewy stuff. Lengthy finish: honey, light spicing, and pleasant dry yeastiness. wetherel (1641), Encinitas, California, USA

Pours a hazy caramel orange with a big creamy off-white head that settles in as a cap for the duration and leaves spotty lacing.
Lots of sweetness in the aroma with the honey definitely showing through, along with some sweet caramel malts and a faint herbal spiciness. The nuts are present in the nose but certainly took a backseat to the sweetness.
The taste is slightly more balanced with the nuts coming out up front before giving way to the big sweet malt base and, as in the aroma, the dominant honey sweetness which lingers in the finish and builds up between sips.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied and pretty thick with the honey sweetness. Almost cloying, but not quite.
This is what I like about Shorts. It’s a very original take on the style with some ingredients that I would never have thought to put together. As a lover of honey in beer, I thought this one would hit the spot...and it did. A great beer that has aged much better than I expected. oh6gdx (9008), Vasa, Finland

Aroma is hops, fruits, yeast and some caramel. Flavour is toffee, fruity hops and some mild alcoholic sweetness. Aftertaste is rather peachy along with some alcohol and wood. Quite much a double IPA with some twisted notes. Pleasant and very drinkable. Dogbrick (2864), Columbus, Ohio, USA

This brew is a hazy translucent orange color with a thick and fizzy off-white head that recedes steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma is barnyard-esque with notes of citrus and grain. Medium-bodied with flavors of musty malt, yeast and honey roasted nuts. Slight funk in the background throughout. The finish is grainy malt and light hops that linger a bit. Good all around.
