Nice white rocky head, and lacing as well. Hops are the key to this brewery i’m finding, great bitterness from start to finish. A little less malt and more balance is what we need here. Excellent brew none the less Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA

Big hop aroma all mixed up, pine, floral and citrus. Initial flavor is caramel/malt but turns to all bitter/sticky hops with a long lingering aftertaste. Will agree needed a little more malt for an IIPA, was still very good overall though. Pailhead (2587), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 23, 2005 On tap: Pretty big hop aroma with a touch of sweetness. Mostly transparent amber with a touch of haze and a small off-white head. A touch of caramel up front is quickly dominated by a big grapefruit hop finish. Hoppy aftertaste lingers for some time. Not the most balanced IIPA. 11026 (1799), Alabama, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 23, 2005 Festival tap. Hazy brown colored with a scant off-white head. Big floral hop aroma with a bit of citrus. Served a bit cold. Medium bodied. Lasting hop bitterness. Modest malt bill barely stands up to the hop assault. Decent, a bit more balance would make this a contender.
