On tap at the brewpub. The body was dark copper with a medium khaki head. The aroma was sweet apple pancakes with some cinnamon sticks. There was also some apple cider. The taste was caramel with some apples. A pleasant sweetness went with the entire package.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a slightly hazy dark orange color. Head was white. Aroma was of distinct buttery caramel. There was mild hop bitterness of about 3 out of 10. Caramel, toffee, and flowery hop flavors struck a nice balance.

Draft @ Shorts. Pours a clear, orange-amber color; off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Slightly medicinal, oily, confined dried fruit notes in the aroma; some earthy bitterness and caramel, but mostly a constrained dried red fruit note. Medium mouthfeel: fluffy carbonation; earthy bitterness, dried red fruits, and light touches of caramel; moderately dense, but one-dimensional at the core with a basic earthy bitterness throughout; an average amber ale; touches of alcohol. Medium finish: dry earthy bitterness and dried red fruits.

Pour is caramel amber with a thin tan head...smell is mild vegetable water...slightly bitter and sweet...vegetable bitter nasty...

On tap at Crunchy’s, East Lansing. Hazy orange-brown body, thin to non-existent buff head. Light aroma (served too cold) of toast and bitter, citrusy hops. Crisp, toasty body, citrusy and piny, with abundant leafy hops leaving a light astringency in the finish. Light, muddy fruitiness beneath the toast and hops. Not very impressive.

5oz sample at brewery. 7/2/09- Pours an amber with a nice tan head. Aroma of hops, malt, and caramel. Taste of the same with a bit of citrus thron in. This is a nice medium bodied hoppy amber.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear amber with a beige head that laced down. Caramel burnt malts and herbal noble hops in the nose. Creamy palate that’s smooth and enjoyable. Malty flavors that are strong with toffee, nuts, and caramelized malts. Finishes with an herbal bitterness. Tasty beer.

On tap. Pours a dark copper/amber color with a medium sized off white head. Aroma is caramel, citrus, buttery. Flavor is caramel, malt, citrus, floral hops. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finished on the sweet side. Very nice.
