Medium body, roasted malt, nuts and a little burned caramel. Again there’s a lingering tartness lurking underneath indicating that a slight tartness may be at work. Roasted, malty finish. 221109

Nov 23, 2009 12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty, light spice note and vague caramelish touch. Fruity hoppy and roasted malty flavoured, light caramelish touch. Ends roasted and lingering fruity.

Nov 20, 2009 12oz bottle courtesy of dmschefke. Pours a deep tobacco brown with very little head. Aroma of lightly roasted nut with a good backing of cola and maple. Also pick up some hints of clove-tobacco notes. Light body with tight carbonation. Medium to light roasted sweet maltiness with mild nut flavor going on with some hints of cola, maple and caramel. Nothing surprising or complex here, but a very nice and drinkable Brown ale.

Oct 24, 2009 12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with mibirder. Pours a clear dark brown that allows light pass through with a large tan head that lasted until mid-glass and left fairly good lace. Pleasant aroma of lightly roasted malt, caramel and apples. The flavor is lightly roasted malt, caramel, nuts and a bit of tobacco. Mild-moderate bitterness at the finish. Nice problem-free brown ale.

Oct 8, 2009 Bottle. Pours brown-orange with a very thin off white head. Heavy sweet caramel aroma with toasted nuts and maple syrup also present. Roasted malt, dry peanuts and caramel flavors with a dry, faint bitter finish. Dry texture with soft carbonation. Solid session brew.
