Commercial Description:
The hub of the village
Exactly what it says, “brown beer.” This is beer fermented from wort extracted from the hearty pale ale malt, toasted specialties, chocolate and munich selections resulting in a toasted brown color. Very light hop additions from the Cascade variety allows the sweet malty and caramel notes to shine through for duration of its time on your palette.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with mibirder. Pours a clear dark brown that allows light pass through with a large tan head that lasted until mid-glass and left fairly good lace. Pleasant aroma of lightly roasted malt, caramel and apples. The flavor is lightly roasted malt, caramel, nuts and a bit of tobacco. Mild-moderate bitterness at the finish. Nice problem-free brown ale.

Bottle. Pours brown-orange with a very thin off white head. Heavy sweet caramel aroma with toasted nuts and maple syrup also present. Roasted malt, dry peanuts and caramel flavors with a dry, faint bitter finish. Dry texture with soft carbonation. Solid session brew.

12oz. bottle, with thanks to coyotehunter! Pours a clear cola brown with a minimal tan head. Aroma is fairly slight, but the usual suspects for a brown ale - caramel, nuts, toasted malts. Flavor is more nuts, caramel, and toasted bread and malts. Hard to impress with such a pedestrian style but not bad. Thanks again Matt!

12 oz bottle. Clear brown with a whitish cap. Nose is earthy chocolate caramel with a touch of smoke. Medium body with a tingle. Taste is mild molasses, club soda, black walnut and plum. Sessionable Brown but uninspired. I’ve been spoiled by the Imperial Series.

Served from a 12 oz bottle picked up an our trip through M!ch!g@n. Appearance is a deep cider red-brown with some small bubbles. The aromas are malty and some dry hard cheese? Flavors start with a a semi-sweet chocolate edge, rich malts, a bit of cardboard indicating this is past its prime a tad. There is some nice faint hop presence that has a pine edge. Mouth is very creamy. A decent brown.

Draft at the Blue Slipper Bistro in Onekama, MI. Dark brown color. Nice tan head. Good lacing. Roasted coffee aroma. Tastes of carmal , malt, and coffee. Very nice easy drinking full bodied brew. I will definitely try this again.
