lassem (106), Copenhagen, Denmark Aug 10, 2008 Pours a moisty light brown body with a calm white head. The nose is yeasts, grains, peaches with a bit sourness.
The taste is hoppy with a sour bitternss and I taste peaches, rice and light preserved ginger... wich actually makes me think of sushi. Rather carboneted. The palate is a bit waterish TURDFERGUSON (1115), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Aug 5, 2008 Bottle shared by eclectic at BCTC. Thanks Kevin! Pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Nose is ginger, hops, pine, rye, citrus. Flavor is ginger, hops, rye. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. Pretty good beer though. incutrav (497), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA Jul 14, 2008 Another unique brew from Shorts. Didnt get a lot of ginger in this, but im not entirely sure I know what ginger tastes like? The rye comes threw though, and works with the weizen base. Fairly spicey afterburn; from the ginger perhaps? Tasty stuff. pnista (884), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Jun 13, 2008 Thanks for sharing Yaniv! Pours a bright orangy yellow with a big white head. Big ginger and astringency in the nose. Fruity with light vinegar and not a ton of character. Big creamy mouth, slightly viscous. Big creamy gingery astringency. A bit of spice, a bit of fruit. Lingering toast and spice. Maybe the spice has some rye? I don’t know, I cannot taste rye precisely here. mkobes (2023), New York, USA May 16, 2008 Bottle. Straw yellow in color with a little white head that left a nice lacing on the glass. Lemony citrusy hoppy oregano aroma. Grassy spicy notes. Malty yeasty flavor. Coriander notes. Finish is spicy Medium bodied. Very drinkable. Nice beer.
