Courtesy GoT. Hazy copper/orange, large foamy off white head. The combination of fresh ginger, rye, and too much carbonation make this astringent and difficult to drink. I’d like to try this with less expressive yeast and a little sweeter malt to balance the bitter and aromatic components.

bottle in trade from ogglethorp. Thanks! Pours hazy orange with a short lived head. Smell is fresh ginger, and malt. Taste is very dry ginger and lots of hops. Medium to thin body with normal to high carbonation. Very gingery, with nothing much else going on, but perfectly drinkable if you like ginger. Value-wise this is ridiculously overpriced however at around $20 a bottle, I believe.

750ml bottle acquired in trade with hoppymeal (thanks Derek!). Bottle # 87 of 1104. Poured a medum golden colol with a rather large sized off white head. Aromas of ginger, toasty, citrus, and yeasty. Tastes of ginger, citrus rinds, caramel, and had a peppery finish. If you like ginger, seek this one out.

Bottle. Hazy golden/orange body, with amedium off-white head. Aroma is dominated by ginger. Flavor is also dominated by ginger. Way to much ginger for me.

It is hazy, orange-brown-golden with a huge, creamy and very lasting head. The aroma has notes of fresh cut ginger and a little malt. The flavour has a lot of fresh ginger, but also a little malt, yeast and in the finish there is a little citrussy bitterness together with the peppery ginger. It is rather sharp, raw and edgy, and you have to love ginger a lot to fully appreciate it.

Tasting @ argo0’s place. 750ml bottle, #105 of 1104. Lightly hazed gold with a huge yellowy head. Well carbonated, lots of drippy lace. Caramel and floral nose, light ginger. Tasty caramel and ginger, rye notes. A mild warmth in the throat - hard to say if it’s alcohol or the ginger. Interesting stuff.

Bottle 75cl. @ [ Shorts Tasting ].
Clear medium to dark yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, light moderate yeasty, ginger, plaster. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, and a ginger - peppery burn in the finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish is light alcoholic. [20081108]

Tasting at Papsoe
Hazy light amber color; big, eggwhite-like head. Ginger aroma, soap, vegetable soups. Vegetable soup flavor, with strong bitterness, some pepper and ginger. Undrinkable.
