Amber with a big and lasting white head. Spicy ginger aroma with a touch of clove. Dry ginger flavour with some alcohol showing and just a pinch of maltiness. Both rye malt and weizen yeast are lost in ginger.

Bottle @ Kolding Shorts Tasting, 18.09.08.
Pours clear golden amber with a great, staying, creamy, white head. Aroma has lots of ginger, light rye, wheat and yeast. Fine mouthfeel. Flavour is just a tad too spicy for me, lots of ginger, light malty sweetness and some mint. Burns a little in my throat because of the spiciness.

Bottle. High creamy and lasting off-white head. Clear copper body. Weak ginger, barley and rye aroma with honey notes. Flavor though heavy and a bit sharp and dry ginger with a good deal of hops bitterness, high carbonation and a long aftertaste.

Bottle. [Drikkeriget Grand Shorts Imperial Series tasting, thanks to Jeppe for another great session] The first thing I thought of was Sushi. Would have loved to try this beer with some nice Sushi, thought that would have been the perfect combination. Have tried a lot of different beers with ginger in, but this was perfectly balanced I thought. Large off-white bubbly head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Clear copper like color. Aroma of crisp ginger and the rye could be felt as well in combination with the yeasty notes. Also some spicy notes, what could be coriander like. Mild fruity and hint of orange peel bitterness. Medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation and dry texture. Moderated sweet and bitter flavor in balance. Lingering ginger dry and mild hoppy finish.

Pours a moisty light brown body with a calm white head. The nose is yeasts, grains, peaches with a bit sourness. The taste is hoppy with a sour bitternss and I taste peaches, rice and light preserved ginger... wich actually makes me think of sushi. Rather carboneted. The palate is a bit waterish

Bottle shared by eclectic at BCTC. Thanks Kevin! Pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Nose is ginger, hops, pine, rye, citrus. Flavor is ginger, hops, rye. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. Pretty good beer though.

Another unique brew from Shorts. Didnt get a lot of ginger in this, but im not entirely sure I know what ginger tastes like? The rye comes threw though, and works with the weizen base. Fairly spicey afterburn; from the ginger perhaps? Tasty stuff.
